Empowering Women, Elevating Teams: Lessons from Blue Water Properties’ Ladies Team Building Retreat in La Fortuna

Opening: A Weekend of Connection in La Fortuna

From May 3rd to 5th, the remarkable women of Blue Water Properties traded their laptops and daily routines for a weekend of laughter, learning, and sisterhood in breathtaking La Fortuna. This special ladies’ team-building retreat wasn’t just about stepping away from the office—it was about stepping closer to each other, to ourselves, and to the power of women working together.

Highlights from Our Unforgettable Itinerary

  • Saturday, May 3rd began with a scenic drive from the beach, pausing for a delicious lunch at Café Macadamia and a warm welcome at our Airbnb oasis. That evening, we celebrated at Don Rufino, La Fortuna’s culinary gem, followed by optional dancing and fun—a true embodiment of “work hard, play hard.”
  • Sunday, May 4th was all about rejuvenation and adventure: a sunrise breakfast together, an awe-inspiring hike at Mistico Hanging Bridges, and hours of bliss at Ecotermales hot springs. Capped by a sushi-making party led by Stacey, one of our talented agents.
  • Monday, May 5th brought a gentle close to our weekend, with yoga class led by Georgina, another of our talented agents, followed by heartfelt goodbyes as we returned home to Guanacaste.

This retreat wasn’t just a reward—it was a purposeful investment in our team. Through shared experiences, new adventures, and simple moments of joy, we strengthened our bonds as colleagues, friends, and women.

Leadership that Inspires Teamwork and Success

Leadership

My philosophy of leadership has always been clear: Success isn’t achieved alone—it’s built together. As the founder and CEO of Blue Water Properties, my passion for collaboration has created a workplace where every voice is valued, every win is celebrated, and every challenge is tackled together.

My commitment to mentorship, transparency, and personal growth is felt in every initiative, from major business decisions to team outings like our La Fortuna retreat. I want to lead by example, believing that the strongest teams are made up of empowered individuals who support and uplift one another. It’s this philosophy that has propelled Blue Water Properties to become the largest independent brokerage in Guanacaste and a trailblazer in Costa Rican real estate.
